Can you recruit and relocate someone from outside the EEA?
Yes. Abbey Blue can source and screen suitable professionals internationally, then coordinate the employment permit, entry visa where required and relocation steps. Eligibility depends on the role, salary, candidate and applicable Irish immigration rules.
What is the difference between a Critical Skills and General Employment Permit?
A Critical Skills Employment Permit is intended for eligible high-demand occupations and normally does not require a Labour Market Needs Test. A General Employment Permit covers a broader range of eligible roles and may require advertising. We assess the role and candidate before recommending the appropriate route.
How long does an employment permit take?
Timelines vary with the permit route, current Department processing volumes and whether all supporting information is ready. We set out the likely recruitment, permit, visa and relocation timeline at the start and keep you updated throughout.
What does the employer actually have to do?
You approve the brief and shortlisted candidates, conduct interviews and make the hiring decision. For an international hire, we guide you through the employer documents and confirmations required while our team prepares and coordinates the application.
Do you handle temporary and contract payroll?
Temporary and contract requirements are scoped around the assignment, worker type and payroll obligations. Tell us what cover you need and we will confirm the appropriate delivery and payroll arrangement in writing.
How do your fees work?
Recruitment and immigration support are quoted based on the role, search requirements and level of permit or relocation support involved. We provide a clear written proposal before work begins.
